Where have all the Point and Click games gone?

It seems its been quite a long time since ive seen a good point and click game. Im not talking like Diablo or anythng like that, but Kings quest series, or Spacequest. Those we're awesome point and click games. They were very addictive. Seems like the internet is teeming with them, but you never see a company take initiative and make a grand experience with the formula. I always enjoyed them. And Im sure others did too. Im sure there were others, those two series we're the only two i can think of at the moment. Where have all the Point and Click games gone?
