Should we use criminals as soceities entertainment???

Ok this is going to sound weird but, I finished watching Death Race and I was thinking for myself to allow and use inmates as a nation's attraction. I mean most of them are rapist, child molestors, killers, torturers, psychos, scum scraped underneath the sole of soceities shoe. Why not let them kill eachother or compete agianst eachother for the world to watch? I dont know, umm Gladiator fights? Motocycle and car Races? Gun skirmishes? fist fights? tournaments?......Im probably going to get bashed and get my idea called inhumane, but many of these criminals serving life sentences are at the comfort of a jail cell, eating our tax money so why not put them to good use? People would pay high prices to see these forms of entertainment we call ''disgusting'', and call it inhumane, cruel, anything you want but if I had a powerful political status, I would propose something like that. what do you guys think? I think it's inhumane and disgusting. Also, you make jail seem like an ''ok'' place to be. It isn't.
I'd so be down for that, and while we're at it we can go back to imperialism and conquering other countries! Great ideas here, I'll go get started at once!

For people who are on death row or serving a life sentence, that actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. Just not like gunfights or anything though, I mean dangerous races and stuff like that.
Maybe I'm strange, but I wouldn't find it that entertaining to watch convicts kill eachother. Too bloody.
And while we're at it we can put them in a cage filled with lions, armed with a toothpick.

The second we start to abuse people for our entertainment (and physically maim them) we become like the Romans.
No, if we do anything differently, it should be a simple ''drag em out back and pop a slug in them'' situation.
After watching this I am pretty sure most of you would agree with the OP's idea.
I have a better idea: use death row inmates as a source for healthy organs for people who need organ transplants! They'd probably make for a great source, seeing how it is illegal to execute a sick person (mentally or physically). Of course, we'd have to use a method other than lethal injection, which destroys the organs.

Yes, we do give them organ transplants sometimes. It's sickening.
Just for your info, George Carlin did a monologue on this subject and came to the conclusion that Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and some other central states should be fenced off and every convicted criminal should have to duke it out in a massive melee on reality TV. I personally think it's disgusting, but Carlin did a funny bit. It's on Youtube.
