I just broke a fingernail...How long would it take to grow back?

I just broke a fingernail playing bass guitar. It was about 2 inches, and i just polished them for 20-30 minutes. How long would it take to grow back??Or does it varies?I just broke a fingernail...How long would it take to grow back?
