some mild profanity so beware. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F0q8ffIsJoProof that gun control is doomed to failure in the U.S.
No, I think gun control would be OK. Every society needs SOME type of gun control. Would you really have criminals and the mentally disable wield guns? No, they can't be trusted with firearms! I really hope what I'm saying comes off as obvious and not controversial. *puts on flame resistant mail*Proof that gun control is doomed to failure in the U.S.
Hmm, some gun control to prevent the loonies and the delinquents from having more guns, or complete distribution of guns altogether?Yeah, I gotta go with sense on this.
That was a boring pirate.
Like it, or not guns will never, never be banned in the US. I don't care who's President, in Congress, or the Supreme Court. Guns, Church's and Cars. We will never go without these 3, we feel like it's a birthright.
He wasn't saying ''LOlZ no gun control'' He was critizing gun bans which are not the same as gun control. And if you need lectures to be interesting don''t vote ever please. He was showing how gun control is the last thing we should worry about when it comes to preventing violence.
The guy's basically talking about gun control as in banning all guns, which I don't think many support.Gun control isn't exactly an either/or thing, though. You don't have to either ban all guns or let anyone have any gun they want. I think stuff like background checks, barring convicted violent offenders from having guns, and such like (which are also part of gun control) are rather sensical things to put in place, even more so when that society happens to be violent. I do think he has a pretty good point, though.
Do you really think they can get rid of all the guns that are already in circulation? Hell no. The good people would be honest and give them up, the bad people would just find new ways to hid them and aquire them. So basically, it would just mean bad news.
Why do you people wanna take my guns!?!?! What would I do without my sniper rifle!?
Why do you people wanna take my guns!?!?! What would I do without my sniper rifle!?
Crossbow. The Constitution makes tons of reference to the word ''manly'', so why not go with the manly weapon :P?
can i still haves exploding crossbow arrows?

Most gun crimes are done by people who aquire guns by illegal means (I think) And even if put tighter control on guns, or even banned them. People/criminals would still get their hands on them. The only difference would be criminals would have them and normal citiziens wouldn't.
I agree with that guy, although I think some guns are unnecessary to allow the public to hold. There is no reason for the average joe to own assault rifles and even more deadly weapons.

Decent background checks, and no military style assault weapons.
I didn't really agree with a lot of that video. He makes the argument America is exceptionally violent compared to other countries (lets take European nations for example). Yet the reasons he gives for this, a violent history, mental illnesses, social problems, are all issues that have absolutely affected Europe much, much worse than the United States. I don't believe Americans are innately more crazy or unbalanced than Europeans, but I do believe European history is about a thousand times more violent than American history. His second point is that violence won't be stopped by controlling guns. This is true of course, but I don't think anyone is under this delusion. The point of gun control is to minimise the severity of the violence, rather than stop it.
