well Fr. Federico Lombardi, SJ. Said that Barack Obama has called the Pope on the phone. Maybe if Obama starts taking advice from the Pope, he might tone down some of his extreme positions on abortion (federally funding it for example).Obama phones the Pope- wonder what they talked about?

Burke was the Archbishop of St. Louis and is a U.S. citizen, so he has every right to criticise U.S. politicians. By the way pro-life Democrats were praised by Burke who said they are ''regrettably too few''.
