How much of a strain on relationship do you think going overseas for a few months places on people? EDIT: This is someone elses relationship. Not my own. I don't have a GF. Remember that girls of GS!! How much of a strain does going overseas put on relationships?
Depends on the relationship. Seeing as last time I went away for 2 weeks my ex got in touch with her ex, I'd say irreversible strain on some. How much of a strain does going overseas put on relationships?
Depends on things like how long you've been together etc.
Depends on things like how long you've been together etc.
Just say if it was a few months - like no more than 3.
I really wouldn't put it down to how long you'd been together alone. Depends on her character and how strongly she feels about you.
I've met people who had a long distance relationship for 5 years, and got married. So I don't really know.
If it's a person who needs a lot of physical contact with someone like holding hands and being able to touch the other person then it may put some strain on the relationships..then again everyone handles things differently so who can say?
Relationships are hard enough, adding distance like you are describing pretty much makes it impossible.People need affection and touch, that's the appeal of a relationship. If you remove that, it's only an acquaintance.
Just say if it was a few months - like no more than 3.
So by the time you come back, you two will have been separated for about as long as you were together prior to leaving? I'd just call it quits now.

If you come back and still want to date, you can pick up where you left off.

Its not me we're talking about people!! Ha! I wish I had a useless long distance relationship!lol, i bet there were a few people hoping it was me going overseas....minus a computer.
about 57% strain.on a serious note it obviously depends on1)what type of people they are mainly their maturity.2) how strong the relationship is I say you have a good shot with the girl if her relationship is not strong, so move in!
when you left you had a loyal and sad girlfriend...when you came back you found out she was loyal to another idiotthat is sure-fire way to kill a relationship, unless the love is strong..or if there is love
