Headphone help...

Going to buy new headphones, but not sure what to buy.I'm going to use it for studio purposes, but also for general media (gaming, movies and whatnot).Seems like decision's boiled down to either AKG K271 mkII or the Sennheisers HD595 (alternatively the 555). Anyone know which is better? Why?Also a thing I'm wondering about, I had some Razr Barracuda Headset before, and it had a bunch load of cables (subwoofer etc). It doesn't seem like other headphones don't though, will this reduce the quality of the music?I feel I might as well make use of my ..average soundcard.  If you have any other suggestions for other headphones, well, any info appreciated. You might need an amp and a good source for both of them to reach their potential. Most headphones over $100 need an amp and any headphone benefits from a better amp and source though. If you do not want all that, stick with maybe hd280-pro or the hd555s are pretty good, but they are a bit unnatural sounding due to coloration. Plus if you have a crappy digital audio converter, quality headphones are going to reveal that and the headphones are going to end sounding worse than cheaper headphones that have unnatural coloration to the sound.  Headphone help...
Amp.. as in amplifier as in.. wot? Thanks though, but I'll go for the steeper priced ones as.. well, I'm getting them as a gift :PI'm thinking of upgrading equipment later, in any case. I'm not sure I understand the technical speak though, digital audio converter as in? (I get the basic jist, but not where the.. thing is). Thanks again.
