Blue Screen

Recently I purchased a Sony Vaio laptop and was really happy with it.But soon after I got a few of those Windows Blue Screen of death things ... you know, the one that restarts your computer randomly.I was wondering is it anything to worry about in the long term and how can you get rid of it? I've never gotten it before. I'm running Windows Vista if it helps. Blue Screen
You get them from time to time on any windows system... It happens to the best of us... Yeah, don't worry about it.  Blue Screen

In any case, if it persistantly pops up I'll have to contact the shop. From time to time seems reasonable but if it becomes a common occurance then thats a different story.
You get them from time to time on any windows system... It happens to the best of us...
Naw.I haven't had a BSOD since maybe early Windows XP (pre-SP1. On Vista x64 now, never had a BSOD.) It never happens ''randomly'' ..and it almost always indicates a driver or hardware fault. Hot-swapping out certain devices can cause it (especially storage devices.)Nice pic though, lol.
I only get BSOD with extreeme fragmantation or overheating with vista
Wasn't that blue screen intentional?
It is debatable. I mean, yes, it could have been a joke, the short time it was up would suggest so, but the screens are run on several computers that during that leg of the tour ran on Windows so it is possible it could have been a faux pas... of course nobody will ever know for sure.

It was intentional.. see this

No, it doesn't. As said earlier, BSoD don't come up for no reason. Generally, it is an issue with hardware although software can cause it as well.
