why are we clonning pigs and not endagered animals?

why arnt we clonning endangered animals and just pigs and sheep?why are we clonning pigs and not endagered animals?
I really don't know. Pigs might be easier to clone or another reason may be because if something goes terribly terribly wrong, the animal may die.why are we clonning pigs and not endagered animals?
Because we understand pigs. We've experimented with them with all sorts of things. Endangered species are .... not the best animals to be killing off in experements.
Because we eat pigs.
why arnt we clonning endangered animals and just pigs and sheep?
For the very fact that they are endangered - you cannot capture or experiment on one.

DNA is very different between different animals... sure chimps(I don't care if it is monkies or gorilla that are really the closest relative :P) are close to humans..only 4% or maybe even .4% :?..but pigs compared to perhaps...whales are very different

There is also a financial incentive to clone a food animal. Make a master race of healthy super pigs... and you get money. Make a duplicate of an endangered species and you get squat.

Cloning still hasn't been perfected, and often the animals are born with birth defects as a result of the cloning processes. Dolly the sheep had a problem with premature aging.

Exactly.. there are a lot of similarities between many of the world's animals but there are also some very important differences that we don't understand yet.. cloning a pig is easy because we have thousands of years of experience with them.. with the endangered species.. not so much. We don't even know why the hell a cheetah doesn't want to mate in captivity--never mind cloning them!.. that's how bad it is with some of the endangered species.
This begs the question - why do the Chinese have the largest population on Earth and yet pandas refuse to mate?
It's kinda hard to clone an animal that's in short supply, I'd imagine. Imagine the discussion the scientists would have if it gets screwed up:Egghead 1: ''Hey steve. How's the panda cloning coming along?''Egghead2: ''Hey Bob. Lemmie take a look...'' *opens cloning chamber* ''Hey Bob, pandas are only supposed to have only one head, four legs, and only one anus, right?''Egghead 1: ''Goddammit, you messed up AGAIN?! Jeez, here...take $20 outta petty cash and pick up a fresh one. And be careful next time, those things aren't friggin' cheap!''

Because pigs are far more important than endangered species... duh!

This begs the question - why do the Chinese have the largest population on Earth and yet pandas refuse to mate?
Because humans don't have sex with pandas.
Most do not. Most.

the cloned animels are not the original animel, they are genetic monsters which are to be used or eaten, that's all
It's illegal to experiment on endangered animals.
